Wireless control of dosing systems
SERCOM recently added a very interesting addition to our range. It concerns wireless communication of the SC400 process computer for monitoring and controlling dosing systems.
The SC400 process computer was developed to control one climate compartment or one dosing system. Things like EC and pH, up to four mixing tanks and a light cell are part of this system. With an expansion set, this computer is able to control up to 56 valves.
The new communication print now makes it possible to control the expansion prints wirelessly within a distance of no less than 5 kilometres. This is unprecedented in horticulture. Although there are already wireless communication options for dosing systems, they function as a one-way communication, and do not receive any information back to be able to respond to it. The SC400 communicates in both directions in real time. In addition, the radius within which this system operates is particularly large. In combination with a very favourable price, a lot is expected of this new development, which will be very interesting for greenhouse horticulture as well as for tree nurseries and fruit production.
